International ICGEB Course: Cell and Animal Models for Drug Discovery / 16-27 October, 2017
This training course will cover critical aspects of cell- and animal-based screening for the identification and characterization of biologically active compounds. It is an intensive, hands-on, 10-days training course that combines lectures, participant’s posters and case-studies sessions as well as wet lab practical activities.

More than 120 applications were received, of which 20 candidates were selected from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, India, Mexico, Peru, Tunisia and Uruguay. They are Post-Docs, PhDs, Master's students, and researchers working in the field of ​​drug discovery.

The course will have 10 international guests (Belgium, France, Germany, Portugal, Rep. of Korea, Switzerland, UK, and USA) and 6 local teachers. Among the foreign lecturers, 3 belong to the International Network of Institutes Pasteur (RIIP).

In addition, the course will be honored with the presence of the Chairwoman of the European Society of Animal Cell Technology – (ESACT). ESACT is the largest society in this field with over 1,000 members, including scientists and
engineers in academic, medical and industrial R&D and Production.
