The lnstitut Pasteur de Montevideo seeks to incorporate two Postdocs to develop research lines framed in the current institutional scientific priorities (no prior link with the institute is necessary).


Doctorate degree upon taking office and having obtained it no earlier than 2015 (that is, no more than 5 years ago). Although this is the profile sought, applications that do not strictly comply with these requirements and that are duly justified will be accepted. In the case of maternity, one more year from the date of the doctorate degree will be accepted for each child born after the doctorate to a maximum of 7 years after earning the PhD.


The position will have a duration of 2 (two) years, eventually renewable for a period of up to 18 (eighteen) months maximum.

Applicants should contact the heads of the Technological Units or Research Laboratories of interest in order to assess the feasibility of the application and to prepare the work plan. The development of the proposal presented should be the main activity of the candidate, demanding high dedication to the task.

  2. Letter of recommendation from the head of the unit / laboratory justifying the impact of their incorporation into the research team.
