A delegation of scientists from the French Academy of Medicine visited the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo this Tuesday, November 12 (2019). The experts spent a few days in the country to participate in the First French-Riverplate Meeting of Academies of Medicine, organized by the Uruguayan Academy of Medicine.

The group was led by the first director of IP Montevideo and current Uruguayan ambassador in France, Guillermo Dighiero, and integrated by Patrice Debré, a leading French immunologist; Laurent Mandelbrot, head of the obstetric gynecology service at Louis-Mourier Hospital; Jean Louis Mas, from the Neurology Service of the Sainte-Anne-Paris Hospital-Descartes University; and Pierre Francois Plouin, director of the Service of hypertension, renal and cardiovascular disorders of the European Hospital Georges Pompidou.

Otto Pritsch, academic director of IP Montevideo, and the principal investigators Marcelo Hill, Pablo Oppezzo and Leticia Zarantonelli, were part of the welcome committee.
