Call 01-23: undergraduate students – Chronic Lymphoid Leukemia Research Lab – IP Montevideo

The Chronic Lymphoid Leukaemia Research Laboratory of the Institut Pasteur of Montevideo is calling for undergraduate students near the end of their degree to carry out their degree thesis, timetable to be agreed.

Training accomplished

We are looking for people who are currently studying or are close to finishing their university degree.

Experience

Knowledge of immunological, molecular biology and cell culture techniques will be an asset.

Responsibilities

The selected person will participate in the development of the research project entitled: Implications of the pro-inflammatory protein S100A9 in the progression of chronic lymphoid leukaemia: towards the development of a new therapeutic target,funded by the Maria Viñas Fund under the supervision of the project manager María Elena Márquez.

The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for joining a research team that collaborates regionally and internationally in the study of the diagnosis, prognosis and therapy of Chronic Lymphoid Leukaemia. Scientific interest and personal initiative focused on translational research in the area of onco-haematology will be particularly valued.

Duration

The duration of the internship will be one year, with the possibility of applying for ANII postgraduate scholarships.
