The Laboratory of Metabolic Diseases and Aging of the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo is calling for applicants to carry out their master’s thesis with an hourly load of 30 hours per week.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
We are looking for people interested in doing their Master’s thesis, graduates of Biochemistry or Biology, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine or equivalent training, and who have an interest in molecular and cellular biology, with emphasis on neurobiology.<\/p>\n
Previous experience in laboratory work or handling of experimental animals is an asset (not exclusive).<\/p>\n
The thesis will be carried out within the framework of the FCE-ANII project “Regulation of NAD+ and senescence in the murine hippocampus: a possible role for the DBC1 protein”.<\/p>\n
The selected person will develop activities that include immunodetection techniques of proteins in tissues, enzyme activity measurements, animal genotyping and behavioral tests to measure cognitive performance in experimental animals.<\/p>\n
The selected person will receive support for the completion of the master’s degree through an ANII postgraduate scholarship associated with the project.<\/p>\n
The position is highly dedicated and will have a duration of two years starting in mid-May 2024.<\/p>\n
Enrollment in a master’s degree program is a requisite, the deadline for which is February 2024.<\/p>\n
