The Institut Pasteur de Montevideo invites applications for two institutional postdoctoral positions through an open call. The selected candidates will develop research projects aligned with the Institute\u2019s current scientific priorities. Previous affiliation with the Institute is not required.<\/p>\n
Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n Applicants must have defended (or be expected to defend) their PhD between 2021 and March 31, 2027.<\/p>\n Candidates who do not strictly meet this requirement may still be considered, provided they submit a strong justification. The following situations will be taken into account:<\/p>\n Parental leave:<\/strong><\/p>\n The eligibility period will be extended by one year for each child born or adopted after completion of the PhD. The position is offered for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of one extension of up to 18 months.<\/p>\n In the event of maternity during the appointment, the contract may be extended by nine months.<\/p>\n Salary<\/strong><\/p>\n As of June 2026, the gross monthly salary for a postdoctoral position at the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo is UYU 119,318, subject to adjustment according to the applicable wage agreements.<\/p>\n Application<\/strong><\/p>\n Interested candidates should contact the head(s) of the Technological Unit(s) or Research Laboratory(ies) where they wish to carry out their project (contact information is available on the Institute’s website<\/a>) to discuss the feasibility of the proposal and jointly prepare the research plan.<\/p>\n The proposed project must constitute the applicant’s primary activity, requiring full-time dedication.<\/p>\n Applications must be submitted in PDF format, in English or Spanish, and include:<\/p>\n
