The Molecular and Human Genetics Laboratory<\/a> of the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo seeks to incorporate a postgraduate student (preferably doctorate) with a workload of 30 hours per week.<\/p>\n We orient the search to people who have graduated from Biochemistry, Biology, Human Biology or Biotechnology degrees who wish to start a postgraduate degree and who are interested in working on a project in the area of \u200b\u200bbiomedicine using the zebrafish animal model.<\/p>\n Experience in molecular biology, fluorescence microscopy, zebrafish model and gene expression analysis is considered opportune but NOT exclusive<\/span>.<\/p>\n The work is part of the project funded by FCE-ANII “Mechanobiology in the pathogenesis of kidney disease: Regulation of the ciliogenesis process during the development of kidney cysts<\/em>” under the direction of Magdalena C\u00e1rdenas, PhD, and the co-direction of Jos\u00e9 Badano, PhD. The project seeks to understand the signaling pathways and cellular processes that are activated during the development of renal cysts and the role that cilia play in this process.
