The Advanced Bioimaging Unit<\/strong><\/a> (joint unit Institut Pasteur de Montevideo – Hospital de Cl\u00ednicas\/Udelar) calls for applicants to fill the position of postdoctoral researcher for a project financed by the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative with a workload of 40 hours per week.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n We orient the search to people with a doctorate completed in physics or engineering in the area of \u200b\u200bhardware development associated with optical microscopy. English language proficiency is required.<\/p>\n The selected person should have experience in physics\/optical engineering, in particular in the assembly of scanning microscopes and with two-photon excitation. Experience in time-resolved microscopy (FLIM) and hyperspectral will be valued, but not exclusive. In addition, experience in the manufacture of parts using mechanical tools such as a lathe and milling machine, as well as the use of a 3D printer, will be valued. It is a non-exclusive requirement to have basic knowledge of programming in Python language.<\/p>\n The selected person will work within the framework of the \u201cExpanding Access to Advanced Bioimaging tools\u201d project. He will be in charge of the development, commissioning and applications of the DIVER microscope (Deep Imaging via Photon Emission Recovery, 10.3390\/mps2020053).
