The Recombinant Protein Unit of the Institut Pasteur of Montevideo is calling for applications for the position of Technical Assistant with a working load of 30 hours per week.
Training accomplished
We are looking for people with a background in Biology, Human Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or similar. A Master’s degree would be an asset.
Experience
The person should have previous experience of laboratory work, particularly in expression techniques, purification and characterisation of recombinant proteins.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join the unit’s pipeline projects focused on the expression of potential vaccine candidates and will be in charge of protein expression and purification tasks as well as participating in the rational design of proteins together with the unit’s team.
Remuneration
Remuneration will be available on our website (pro-rated at 30 hours per week).
Duration
The position will have a duration of 7 months.
