Schools and high schools visits 2022

The Institut Pasteur in Montevideo restarts its traditional guided tours for schoolchildren and high school students, which had been suspended since March 2020. This year, the visit calendar will start on the last Friday of July (29/7) and will run until the end of November (25/11).

During June 2022 we invited interested schools and high schools to apply by completing a form. Applications are currently closed (next year we will announce when they will open again); the draw has already been made and the selected schools and high schools have already been contacted for the coordination of dates.

This will be the dynamic:

• The calendar of visits for the second semester of the year will include 2 to 3 Fridays per month (depending on the month) up to and including the last Friday in November. The visits will take place in two shifts: in the morning at 9:30 am and in the afternoon at 2:30 pm. Each time the activity is organised by scientists from the institute and lasts approximately one hour.
• As places are LIMITED, on 21st June we will draw lots from all the applications received and in the following days we will contact the selected institutions to determine the definitive date and time of the visit.
• We would like to remind you that for reasons of location and to offer a more interactive activity, we recommend that groups do not exceed 30 students. If the group is larger, the visit should take place in a smaller format. Unfortunately, we will not be able to receive groups of more than 60 students.
