The event featured Hellen Daghero, researcher at the Cell Biology Laboratory of the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo; Tatiana Mesa, the book’s illustrator; Sabrina Cittadino and Daniela Hirschfeld, members of the institute’s Communications Unit and creators of the book; and the renowned scriptwriter, author, and director of the popular murga Agarrate Catalina, Yamandú Cardozo, who brought his unique perspective from the worlds of literature, entertainment, and culture.
Created with input from scientists at the institute, the book contains 40 full-color pages offering an interactive and engaging way to explore scientific work. It guides readers through eight illustrated scenes representing different fields of science and invites children to search for objects and actions related to scientific activities.
The book is published on a non-profit basis: all proceeds go toward reprinting and donating copies to rural schools and schools in underserved communities.
