Call 10-22: Postdoctoral Researcher – Virus-Cell Interactions Laboratory – IP Montevideo

The Virus-Cell Interactions Laboratory of the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo calls for applicants to fill the position of postdoctoral researcher, 40 hours per week, within the framework of an ANII scholarship.

Training accomplished

We orient the search to people with a doctorate completed in the area of ​​Virology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Immunology.

Experience

Experience in cell culture, molecular biology and immunodetection techniques, viral quantification, work with experimental animals will be considered appropriate, but not exclusive.

Responsibilities

The selected person will be responsible for leading a research project focused on the development of new antiviral strategies based on the modulation of the activity of cellular proteins.

Remuneration

ANII postdoctoral scholarship.

Duration

The ANII postdoctoral scholarship has a duration of two years. The position can be extended with competitive institutional financing for two additional years.

The applicant can be of foreign or Uruguayan nationality (with at least 3 years abroad). In the case of applicants of Uruguayan nationality, they may be residing abroad or have returned to Uruguay less than 1 year ago. If the selected applicant is currently residing abroad, their transfer (economy class) will be covered by ANII.
